SEMA APPROVED RACKING INSPECTION

Inspections are an annual requirement for all forms of racking from conventional adjustable pallet racking systems (APR) to automated storage retrieval systems (ASRS).
All of our inspections are carried out by SEMA Approved Racking Inspectors, the highest level of qualification, who are qualified to inspect both cantilever and pallet racking.

Below is additional information on some of the different types of inspection we offer.

PALLET RACKING INSPECTION

This is the most common racking inspection we carry out. Current legislation requires the racking to be inspected externally at intervals of no more than 12 months.

CANTILEVER RACKING INSPECTION

The demand for this type of inspection appears to be growing as awareness of the requirements increases. As is the case with standard pallet racking, cantilever racking should be inspected externally at intervals of no more than 12 months.

PRE-COMMISSION RACKING INSPECTION

One of our bugbears in the racking industry is the standard of installation. We regularly identify non-compliance's and even missing components during our inspections but as the racking is out of warranty, the site is left holding the bill. This inspection aims to identify any defects before the site is taken on by the end user. We complete these for both installation companies and end users.

ASRS RACKING INSPECTION

Although not as common as the APR & Cantilever inspections, we still complete a large number of automated inspections each year. Each site is assessed individually to ensure that the inspection is completed in the safest way possible. All of our SARI's are trained in working at height.
NOTE - Upon completion of all inspections, a set of inspection data and a detailed report will be submitted.
